Raiden sculpt and resin casting

My entry for the Plasticcell Mortal Kombat Sculpture Tournament through Instagram. I had about a month to design, sculpt, mold and paint a miniature figure using the Plasticcell resin base. I really pushed myself and learnt a whole lot of new techniques to achieve the final result. Using new materials was really a challenge, although I didn't place, I really enjoyed the process and also got to meet a lot of new artists.
I have videos below of the casting process for a two part silicon mold and a resin cast.
Firstly, laying the master in clay. I'm using sulfur free Monster Clay/ NSP Clay for this.
Pouring the first silicon side using Alumilite High Strength 2 molding rubber.
Pouring the second side after applying mold release (so sides don't cure together).
Removing the master from the two silicon mold sides, this is where you see how well you've done!
Removing the final resin cast - this is the pay-off, but also the most nerve racking part as resin cures in 5 minutes! No room for error!
A promotional video that I used on Instagram to help engage my audience.
Here's a second video I created to go into my Instagram and Facebook stories.
